An extraordinary Carinthian evening with the film Doberdob – Roman Rebel

On Saturday, November 7, the film Doberdob – the novel of a rebel premiered to a local audience in Carinthia. The people of Ravenna welcomed the film about their fellow countryman Prežiho’s Voranec extremely warmly and with great enthusiasm.

The premiere was held under the auspices of the mayor of Raven na Carinthia and the president of Prežih’s institution, dr. Tomaž Rožen, who before the start of the film greeted a full hall of citizens, among whom were also Voranč’s relatives, municipal councilors and cultural figures.

After the film, the larger creative team of the film was introduced to the audience: director and screenwriter Martin Turk, actors Aleš Valič and Srečko Kermavner, producer Ida Weiss, director of photography Radovan Čok and editor Jurij Moškon.

After the screening, the audience was delighted to note that they learned a lot about their Voranc, for whom they now have even greater respect and pride that he comes from their place.
“A superb documentary film that talks about the greatness of our Voranc. Let the word about him spread throughout Slovenia and beyond the borders.” and Danica Hudrap, a local culturer and relative of Prežiho’s Voranc, summarized her impressions after watching the film.

Osrednji dogodek bo danes, 9.11., ob 19.00 uri v Kinodvoru.
